Who is Archimedes Medical?
Archimedes Medical is a healthcare modeling organization (MedTech). Through innovations such as IndiGO and ARCHeS, Archimedes helps people understand the implications of their medical-related decisions and has done so for the last 15 years.
The mission?
To combine the efforts of mana and machine to aid the medical industry. They elevate the conversation around AI and what it means to understand the human condition and technology’s evolution from tool to titan.

The challenge
Archimedes had an ongoing AI project in use and their sole developer was headhunted by a large company, putting the project at great risk. The Archimedes team needed someone with experience to come in and pick up where the project left off, not only finishing but improving the project. They sought consultancy on the best way to complete and implement the product.

The Goal
The goal was to build AI models to analyze medical and clinical data to assist with billing acceptance, classify medical information, suggest information, and recommend new information to be used in billing or to assist a physician in analyzing patient write-ups.

The solution
Skim AI assembled a team to pick up where Archimedes’ churned talent left off, by replicating their results as a benchmark and using that to test new models and add new data sources. With that benchmark in hand, Skim AI began building on top of the current solution to assist with the initial goals. Overall, this drastically reduced the risk of product failure, and completely eradicated the loss of time and financial investment from Archimedes into this project so far. Archimedes was able to launch their AI solutions on time and to a better standard with a team of AI professionals behind the scenes, rather than just one.
