AI & You #1: Generative AI
Hey Subscriber,
We hope you enjoy our first issue of "AI & You."
Our newsletter focuses on helping you understand how Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence news and innovations affect you and your career.
We as a company have been using generative AI since before GPT-1 came out in 2018, and have used DALL-E and GANs to create generative AI videos for enterprise clients working on movies and commercials. Currently, we are helping clients build Large Language Models (LLMs) like ChatGPT into larger solutions. Our content is informed by our experience.
What is Generative AI?
Generative AI refers to a type of artificial intelligence that uses machine learning algorithms to create or generate new and original data, images, text, or even entire virtual worlds. Generative AI algorithms rely on neural networks to generate new data that is similar to the training data provided to the model.

Exploding Market
The generative AI market is exploding, with reports showing that the global market size and share are expected to generate revenue of USD $200.73 billion by 2032. They are estimated to be valued at USD $10.63 billion in 2022, at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 34.2% from 2023 to 2032.
ChatGPT and Google Search
Generative AI models like Chat GPT are threatening the dominance of traditional search engines like Google Search. engines are all about solving problems, and when you interact with one, it is a transactional relationship. ChatGPT and other models are quickly hijacking this relationship and solving transactional searches with refined results.
Google’s Response
Google is not going to let its search engine be taken over by generative AI without a response. The company is investing heavily in AI and machine learning, and it is constantly improving its search algorithms to provide more accurate and relevant results Google’s parent company Alphabet is introducing an AI-powered chatbot named "Bard" to compete with Microsoft-backed ChatGPT.
Applications of ChatGPT
ChatGPT will impact nearly every industry, with some of its top applications including customer service, language translation, content personalization, writing assistance, summary generation, sentiment analysis, and email writing.
